HOW TO SELL CHEESE IN THE 21ST CENTURY
It all started with “Kunst und Käse” (art and cheese), a mesmerizing living art installation in stereoscopic 360 degrees that combined dance, music and an assortment of very special cheese in a way that had never been done before. The three minutes of cheesy mayhem turned out to be so much fun, that our lovely client AMA asked us to produce two over-the-top sequels, different in tone and content, but just as bonkers. Hence the cheese trilogy was born – a 3-part VR epic about everything that’s awesome in life (but mainly cheese).
The trilogy works as a perfect icebreaker and conversation-starter for events like trade-fairs. Each of the three movies becomes a tool to create interested and engaged (potential) customers.

Part two of the anthology tells the story of a reporter who visits an Austrian farm to solve a mystery that boggles the mind: Sometimes at night, several cows seem to disappear, just to reappear a few days later. Where do they go? What happens to them? Stay tuned to find out…

Part three is all about “THE TRUTH”. The audience gets to witness the initiation rites of the mysterious order of the “Freischmauser” (= the Illuminati of cheese) and learns everything about the secret history of the world (but mainly about cheese).

THE THINGS WE DO FOR CHEESE…
Each one of the three movies came with it’s own set of challenges, ranging from complicated lighting setups (huge locations like the Semper Depot in Vienna are especially hard to illuminate when it comes to shooting VR video) to animation and composting challenges (flying ufos, digital crowd multiplication, holy cheese-rays, you name it…). Not only did we have a lot of fun, we also learned a lot while creating the cheese trilogy. If only we could find a way to add smell to VR…
